Apr 30, 2020 Apple Remote Desktop is the best way to manage the Mac computers on your network. Distribute software, provide real-time online help to end-users, create detailed software and hardware reports, and automate routine management tasks — all from your own Mac. Microsoft Remote Desktop App For OS X. With the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, you can connect. For Mac OS X 10.11 you need definitely an older version than Microsoft Remote Desktop 10! I would need at least the Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.1, but I can't get it anywhere. I tried it on a MacMini with Mac OS 10.14 Mojave and Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 and it worked immediately.

Now that Back to My Mac (aka BTMM) has been stripped from OS X with Mojave, I can no longer access any computers that are not on my local network using Apple Remote Desktop (aka ARD) nor Screen Sharing. I'm assuming the Bonjour side of OS X has been deprecated or reduced for Internet connections in Mojave.
Hi Conte, Thank you for your message in this forum. According to your description, it seems that you want to download Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection 10 on your Mac, then you found that your Mac OS doesn’t support Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection 10, so you want to get access to Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection 8. I'm trying to access High Sierra computers (at my home office), from computers that have been upgraded to Mojave (in my work office), but I cannot see them ARD anymore. According to Apple, ARD and Screen Sharing will still work, but that does not appear to be the truth for computers located off-site and not on the local network in my office.
HOWEVER, I can remote into High Sierra computers using ARD and Screen Sharing with another High Sierra OS as I have always been able to do as long as both computers have Internet access and settings are correct for Remote Login and Remote Management are on and configured correctly.

Any suggestions for getting Mojave to connect to other Macs that are not on the LAN but have Internet access? I'm looking to get this working via OS X without 3rd-party options.
